ā€œThe comprehensiveness of Rogers’ advice is impressive and deeply involving, and the book as a whole makes for engrossing reading—even for those who’ve never spent a single hour around a moody, temperamental child.ā€ – Kirkus Review (Recommended)

Editor's Pick

ā€œWhile compact, this guide is admirably thorough, pragmatic, and informative, sharing a wealth of Rogers’s own tried-and-tested techniques.ā€

Editor's Pick

"...she encourages with little snippets like: ā€œDon’t tell them what not to do – tell them what to doā€ citing research that has found that ā€œa fascinating brain quirk is the failure to process negative commands in sentences such as no and don’tā€ and that giving the positive action commands instead ā€œcan lead to better outcomes.ā€
