Dr. FRANK NAEYMI-RAD arrived in the United States from Iran in 1969, the same year humans first walked on the moon. He went on to co-found Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO Health), building the clinical terminology infrastructure now embedded in the majority of English-speaking electronic health record systems. A pioneer in medical informatics with over fifty publications and eleven patents, he serves as chairman and CEO of Leap of Faith Technologies, where he is developing the next generation of AI-enabled healthcare platforms.

Dr. THERESA KEPIC grew up in the Slovenian immigrant community of Waukegan, Illinois, where the early loss of her brother to leukemia set her on the path to medicine. A practicing OB/GYN, she has spent her career at the intersection of clinical care and health systems service at VA North Chicago caring for our veterans, bringing to this book the perspective that no algorithm can replace: the patient, the physician, and the irreducibly human relationship between them.
