A Tale of Two Agents: Spring into Action

“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.” ~ Kafka on the Shore, Haruki Murakami

While we all hope “it” will be over soon, we are sure that the storm has brought many positive changes as well in how we work, and how we spend our personal time. While we desperately hope to see our colleagues again in person soon, we just wrapped another successful virtual book fair A Fair to Remember, where we met with close to 100 publishers worldwide and heard from many of you concerning topics impacting your buying decisions, including mental health issues, a new way of living simply, a return to nature, children’s character development and more, which reflect our new world order.

We are delighted to include Cherish Editions to our list of new clients as their leading books on mental health and well-being are more timely than ever.

In honor of World Book Day, we’d like to illustrate some of the specific books that generated the most requests, both by country and subject area, at our recent fair: the five top titles focused on work/life balance; entrepreneurship; an introduction to coding; parenting & relationships; and a book highlighting modern sexual liberation as it traces the lineage of “witch feminism.”

As this week also celebrates World Earth Day, we love the stunning photography captured in Just Like Us (Girl Friday Books) pubbing this month. As Dr. Jane Goodall states in her Foreword, the book is "an entertaining and informative read that illustrates how one ordinary person can be a catalyst for positive change."

We are also thrilled to introduce a new little Little! Our latest team member Onora Mae Little (born March 24th) joins her father, star DropCap colleague Sean Little, in sharing our delight with the birth of some of our newest publisher clients. Do remember to view Girl Friday Books, Whitefox Publishing, and Stone Bridge Press in your Dashboard for a wide range of spectacular titles. (If you have not set up your DropCap dashboard yet, you can do so here.)

Happy Spring!
