What Really Matters
by Robert A Saul MD
Deciphering what really matters has been the perpetual quest of humankind. Dr. Robert Saul, a pediatrician engaged in teaching children and families how to enhance their childhood and parenting journeys, and Michael Cogdill, a journalist covering the news that impacts the lives of our citizens, contend that truth, trust, science, civility, diversity, and faith are what matter. And unless we embrace what matters, we will lose sight of our common humanity.
What Really Matters explains why and how we are meant to engage with others and improve their lives. With this improvement, we enhance our own existence, becoming better citizens and better stewards of the miracle of life.

James Ryan, JD, president emeritus, University of Virginia, author of Wait, What? And Life's Other Essential Questions
"Years ago, I wrote a book that posed a series of 'essential' questions, including the question 'What really matters?' In this book, the authors suggest a thoughtful and persuasive answer: truth, trust, science, civility, diversity and faith. For anyone interested in contemplating perhaps the most important question facing all of us, I highly recommend reading this book."
Martin Rutte, coauthor of The New York Times business bestseller Chicken Soup for the Soul at Work; founder, Project Heaven on Earth
"There is a certain stillness in this book-a stillness out of which wisdom and truth and insights easily emerge. My soul was nourished. My mind was challenged into new possibilities for life. Buy this book. Your soul and you mind will thank you."
Kirkus Reviews
"A book that, at its best, may help readers get to the heart of what it means to be a good citizen."
