“As a musician, I often look at The Beatles for inspiration musically or stylistically. They are the high-water mark, after all. But Dan Absher’s book presents a whole other way to view the band: as a case study in building successful teams, businesses, and organizations, highlighting the importance of group unity and creating a situation wherein everyone is on the same page and working together. I also love that the book uses Beatles songs to help build this narrative, with playlists at the end of each chapter to drive home the lesson. As the host of the podcast Ranking The Beatles, I'm fortunate to get to read a lot of books about the band. Dan’s book offers something fresh and unique that I really enjoyed. It’s a fun and entertaining way to learn the band’s story and the blueprint for building dynamic teams.”

Dan Absher

Dan Absher is a business leader, teacher, and author, who spent 32 years as CEO of Absher Construction. He has learned his greatest lessons about leadership, teambuilding and organizational excellence from raising a family, leading a successful business, and a lifelong passion for The Beatles. After graduating from Stanford University (1980) and Notre Dame Law School (1983), Dan practiced law for two years before joining the family construction business. Dan has shared his knowledge of The Beatles by leading workshops for businesses, community groups, and as a college professor, showing how The Beatles provide the perfect blueprint for creating successful teams and organizations. Dan and his wife, Daria, have six children and six grandchildren (with more on the way). He and Daria live in the Pacific Northwest with their dog, Ringo, where he continues to ponder why a rock band that broke up over fifty years ago still has so much to teach us about working - and living - together.
