Science writer. After graduating from Yokohama City University, he worked for a publishing company (editorial department), where he planned and edited many best-selling science books. In the field of mathematics, he has worked on a wide range of genres and levels, from introductory mathematics books with three "超" marks to high school-level differential and integral calculus, statistics, trigonometric functions, and even college-level complex analysis, Fourier analysis, and physical mathematics. He has also demonstrated his ability as editor-in-chief of a data magazine (monthly), which has achieved a significant increase in circulation.

He became independent and established the editorial studio Syracuse with the motto of "creating books that connect the humanities and sciences. He is well known for his writing skills in "super-translating science-related themes for humanities readers," with a focus on science books. He has interviewed many of Japan's top scientists (including Nobel Prize winners), and has written and compiled many books as a writer. He is a member of the Mathematical Society of Japan.
