Sebastian Saviano

Sebastian Saviano is an author and independent scholar whose work explores artificial intelligence, institutional trust, power, and the conditions under which civic belief fractures and reforms. His research brings together political theory, philosophy of social science, and the study of complex social systems to examine how institutions acquire, exercise, and lose authority.

He pursued doctoral study in political theory and the philosophy of social science at Georgetown University, where he also lectured in the Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA) program. Earlier in his career, he served in the U.S. government and worked as a political and international consultant across the partisan spectrum, gaining direct experience with institutional decision-making and geopolitical affairs.

Saviano is the author of The Collapse of Trust series, including The Allegiance Paradox and Legitimate Distrust, as well as I, System and research on power convergence and the philosophy of social systems. His work seeks to clarify the structural forces that shape institutions, technology, and public life.
