Biography

Julie Ditchburn Patton taught first and third graders before joining American Greetings. She was an editor, writer, and writing manager for twelve years. While there, she wrote for all greeting card categories but specialized in humor and juvenile products. She worked on desk calendars, ad copy, and children’s workbooks. After leaving American Greetings, she freelanced and maintained a blog about writing and parenting with a critique partner. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and the Alliance of Independent Authors.
