Award-winning children's author Robert Scott Thayer, is also a recording artist who writes and sings in the pop, jazz, and children's genres. Robert has won several International Songwriting Awards including those from Billboard. On his latest series release, Kobee Manatee®: Shipwreck Sea Friends, Robert collaborates with Fabien Cousteau, oldest grandson of legendary ocean pioneer, Jacques Cousteau. Ever since he was young, Thayer had a passion for manatees, weather, and ocean life. Robert earned a degree from Temple University in Philadelphia and also worked as a copywriter. Lauren Gallegos earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration from Cal State Fullerton in 2009 and has been illustrating ever since. Lauren has illustrated a number of picture books. These include the independently published and acclaimed Kobee Manatee® children's educational picture book series, along with the independently published and acclaimed series, The Coal Thief, The Egg Thief, The Santa Thief and The Circus Thief. She has also illustrated RUBIO & JULIENNE: A SWEET AND CHEESY TALE, published by Tilbury House Publishers. Lauren is a proud member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She lives outside of DC with her husband, her young daughter, and her young son.
