Richard Curtis has been a major figure in the world of publishing for decades. He is a leading New York literary agent, founder of one of the first e-book publishers, a long-time columnist for Publishers Weekly and other writers’ publications, and author of four acclaimed books about writing, agenting, and the book business. Curtis was the first president of the Independent Literary Agents Association and subsequently president of the Association of Authors’ Representatives.
