Wilfred and the Scorpion That Lost His Way Home
When adventurous little scorpion Toby strays too far from home, a sudden desert storm sweeps him away from everything he knows.
Cold, frightened and alone, Toby has no idea how he will ever find his family again—until he meets Wilfred, a kind-hearted camel who refuses to leave a friend in trouble.
Together they set off across the desert in search of Toby’s home. Along the way, a helpful rattlesnake, a warm-hearted rabbit and a cheerful lizard join their growing band of unlikely friends. But when the journey brings unexpected obstacles, everyone must work together—and Wilfred must find a clever way to keep them safe.
A colourful and reassuring adventure about courage, kindness, teamwork and belonging, Wilfred and the Scorpion That Lost His Way Home reminds young readers that friendship can be found in the most unexpected places—and that even the smallest creature never has to face a difficult journey alone.
Author

Guy Romeo
Australian author Guy Romeo created Wilfred the Camel from a lifelong ambition to write children’s stories with memorable characters and positive messages. Of Italian heritage, Romeo hopes his stories encourage children to embrace differences, remain kind and recognise that the qualities that make someone unusual can also make them special. His first Wilfred adventure, Wilfred and the Great Desert Storm, introduced the cheerful camel whose distinctive sharp teeth ultimately become his strength.
For Wilfred and the Scorpion That Lost His Way Home, Romeo is joined by co-author Shaz. Together they continue Wilfred’s adventures with a warm story celebrating friendship, courage, cooperation and helping others find their way home. The book is the second title in the Wilfred series.
