A dark fusion of noir and supernatural horror, THE CRIMSON TRAVELER is an unsentimental tale about inherited violence, family obligation and the monsters inside us.

I think a key aspect of this story that I both loved and occasionally hated was its atmospheric nature and the verbose descriptions. I loved the detailed portrayals of the world around the characters, especially when it came to the pack, as I thought their environments often seemed almost surrealist…I also thoroughly enjoyed the pacing of this book, which I think was nicely supplemented with the names of towns that the wolves were in at various points along their little road trip.
