The Red Death plagues the Trevous Colony, a walled-off section of an alternative Victorian London. But the elite, rather than surrendering their afflicted to the colony, hide them away in private quarantine. Dr. Rahul Tamerlane treats these elite afflicted, eventually contracting the disease himself. As if this wasn't bad enough, a string of murders committed by the notorious Red Death Killer has the city on edge too. As the murders escalate and the disease spreads, the divide between elite and common society grows ever larger, and the good doctor is caught in the middle.
