Let’s fill the world with wonderful words!
In So Many Words for Me to Be, children will explore and unpack over 70 words to describe themselves in positive and empowering ways. This access to a broad vocabulary will help children express how they are feeling and build self-esteem and self-confidence. Through this process, they will develop not only self-assurance and resilience but also essential literacy skills, including vocabulary building, storytelling, and early writing.
This book offers educators and parents a practical, uplifting resource to foster children’s social and emotional learning while nurturing a strong and positive self-identity. Topics covered: kindness and empathy, strength and determination, joy and happiness, curiosity and mindfulness. Also included are ideas for using the book with parents, caregivers, and educators.
Words are powerful! The more words children learn, the more they come to express themselves with confidence. When children hear and use positive and encouraging words, their self-esteem blossoms — because the words we hear so often shape who we become! Building a strong vocabulary from an early age also helps children become amazing storytellers and writers. Let’s fill the world with wonderful words!

➡️ Age Range: 4 - 8 years
One little girl finds it easy to speak up, make new friends, and shoo away the monsters under her bed when she has a great big lion by her side. Next to her lion, nothing is scary--not even broccoli. But when a classmate tells her the lion is only in her imagination, that bravery vanishes. Suddenly, the world is scary again. Until the little girl tries a roar of her own and discovers that maybe the courage she needed was inside her all along.
At once fierce and tender, Colter Jackson's Everyday Brave is a book about finding your footing, facing your fears, and discovering the lion-like roar within.

"A fable wherein the courage of the lion was in the girl all along. Jackson imbues what could have been a tired concept with depth, breadth, and power. Great for reading aloud in a group or individual sharing and an excellent addition to all collections." — School Library Journal
"Charmingly illustrated, Everyday Brave by author/illustrator Colter Jackson is a fun read from start to finish." — Midwest Book Review
