Biography

Steven L. Peck is an evolutionary ecologist and professor of the philosophy of biology. He discovered his love of writing in seventh grade after he wrote a poem about a weasel that blended pathos, adventure, and sorrow. Encouraged by his teacher, he read the poem aloud in class, even winning over his childhood tormentor. He has since written several acclaimed novels, including The Scholar of Moab and The Tragedy of King Leere, which weave together philosophy, ecology, and speculative fiction.
