Description

In Maid in America, Rosemary Everton shares an extraordinary tale of resilience, determination, and the true meaning of the American Dream. Born into a working-class family on Delaware's Eastern Shore, Rosemary's life took an unexpected turn when she became pregnant at fifteen, married young, and seemed destined for a challenging path. But destiny had other plans.

Against overwhelming odds, Rosemary refused to be defined by her circumstances. While juggling motherhood, night school, and work, she and her husband Mike built a cleaning business from the ground up―transforming a small residential service into a multimillion dollar commercial cleaning enterprise. Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, hard work, and unwavering commitment.

The book chronicles not just a business success story, but a deeply personal narrative of overcoming tragedy. From losing children to navigating family challenges, financial struggles, and workplace obstacles, Rosemary demonstrates an incredible capacity for resilience. Her story takes an unexpected turn when President George H.W. Bush publicly celebrates her achievements during a high school graduation speech, bringing her remarkable journey into the national spotlight.

More than a memoir, Maid in America is a masterclass in entrepreneurship. Rosemary shares candid insights into building a successful business, including lessons on patience, consistency, trust, and never burning professional bridges. Her wisdom extends beyond business, offering profound reflections on marriage, family, and maintaining hope through life's most difficult moments.

With raw honesty and inspiring optimism, Rosemary Everton proves that with determination, faith, and hard work, anyone can transform their dreams into reality. Her story is a powerful reminder that the American Dream is alive and accessible to those willing to persevere, adapt, and believe in themselves.
