Description

A gentle Christian picture book to help children understand grief, express big feelings, and find comfort in God's love.

When a child loses someone they love, grief can bring feelings they don't understand and questions that don't always have easy answers.

I Can't Believe They're Gone: Faith Edition gently walks alongside children as they experience the sadness, anger, tiredness, guilt and numbness that can come with loss, while reminding them through Scripture that God is near.

Follow the Mouse family as each member responds differently to the death of someone they love. With the gentle guidance of Wise Old Bear, they begin to understand their feelings, discover healthy ways to express their grief, and find meaningful ways to remember.

The beloved grief story, now gently woven with Scripture.

This special Faith Edition includes:

• carefully chosen Bible verses woven throughout the story
• gentle reassurance that there is no one "right" way to grieve
• practical ways for children to express big feelings and remember someone they love
• simple prayers for moments when children may not have the words
• a special blessing to speak over a grieving child
• gentle support for the big questions children may ask about death, grief and faith

Who is this book for?

A gentle resource for children grieving the death of:

• a parent or grandparent
• a sibling or other family member
• a friend, teacher or other special person
• someone who died following illness
• someone whose death was sudden or unexpected

Created for Christian families and for the parents, grandparents, teachers, counsellors, chaplains, pastors, churches and schools walking alongside a grieving child.

Whether given soon after a death or returned to in the weeks and months that follow, I Can't Believe They're Gone: Faith Edition offers a safe place to talk, feel, remember and encounter the comfort and hope of God together.

Because sometimes the greatest gift we can give a grieving child isn't the perfect answer. It's helping them know they are loved, understood, and not alone.
