Clara the unicorn is overcome with excitement at the fair. Follow along as this big emotion causes her to make some mistakes, and how she ultimately recognizes and fixes them. With a focus on social and emotional learning (SEL), tightly controlled vocabulary, and bright, fun illustrations to match the storyline, children will learn that when we make mistakes, it’s our responsibility to set things right. Children can learn more about admitting to mistakes using Fact Surfer, our safe online search engine that provides relevant, age-appropriate websites. This book also features reading tips for teachers and parents, a picture glossary, index, table of contents, and comprehensive visual quiz. Grasshopper Books offers simple, fun fiction for emerging readers. Clara the Unicorn Admits Her Mistakes is part of Jump!’s Learning Life Skills with Mythical Creatures series.

Liliana draws the world around her the way she sees it from her window, with children and families of every background existing together. She loves thoughtful non-fiction, tackling the real things that shape our lives: our bodies, beliefs, staying safe and understanding each other, but with humour and fantasy in reserve for the occasional unicorn castle, too. Liliana loves making art that helps people feel represented, letting every reader see themselves on the page. In her spare time she loves to play table tennis, or stay in and curl up with a good documentary.
