Joseph Jenkins is the author of several award-winning books, including the Humanure Handbook, now in its 4th edition, which has been translated into over 20 languages and published on several continents. The Humanure Handbook was a college thesis turned into an underground best seller, based on the author’s 47 years of first-hand experience with compost toilet systems. Jenkins began providing consulting services worldwide in 2006 as a compost toilet expert, and has traveled to 64 countries, many multiple times.
