Mariane earned her BBA in business and education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1973 and her JD from Marquette University Law School in 1992. She was a practicing lawyer for 14 years. After her 25-year marriage ended, she turned to counseling, meditation, and journaling. This resulted in a profound shift at the age of 52. As part of her healing process, she began to write—to heal herself and ultimately to lay the groundwork for helping others.
