Jim Boatwright

Jim Boatwright was born into a loquacious, loud family in rural South Carolina and grew up hearing wildly exaggerated and animated tales of adventures and misadventures, told with wide eyes and breathless narration. It was only natural that he would grow up to be a storyteller. His debut novel, Unintended Consequences, was published in 2025. His play Strangers in the Light of Day has been performed most recently by the 525 Players in Columbia, South Carolina. Jim holds bachelor's and master's degrees in music education and has done postgraduate studies in music education. Jim lives in Columbia, South Carolina.
