Cliff Nonnenmacher

Biography

Cliff R. Nonnenmacher’s entrepreneurial roots run deep—his first hustle began at just 8 years old, raking and selling golf balls outside local country clubs. By the time he was 19, he had already launched one of the first food delivery services in the U.S.—delivering over 100 McDonald’s orders a day, making him (very likely) the first food delivery subcontractor for McDonald’s in the country. This was 1991—decades before Uber Eats. He went on to run watersport concessions in LBI, New Jersey and Marco Island, Florida, own a video rental store, and distribute the iconic Fun Noodle nationwide. At 21, Cliff bought a satellite day trading system, built a portfolio, and took it straight to Wall Street—where he landed a role as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley. In 2003, he pivoted from finance to franchising, acquiring the Master Franchise rights for New York and Connecticut. Since then, Cliff has never left the franchise world. He’s owned and operated multiple brands including Cartridge World, Personal Training Institute, PuroClean, and Maid Right, and helped develop and scale franchise brands such as Four Seasons Sunrooms, Contours Express, PuroClean and Personal Training Institute nationally. With more than 25 years of experience in franchising, finance, and business, Cliff now dedicates his time to helping others pursue their dream of business ownership. He mentors franchise owners and guides entrepreneurs in determining if franchising is the right fit for their goals—with a practical, no-fluff approach that cuts through the noise. Cliff is also the host of Pursuit of Profit, the most popular podcast in franchising, where he shares real stories and actionable insights from top franchise leaders. His upcoming book, Beyond the Brand – The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Fearless Franchising, is a must-read for anyone considering their next big move in business. He lives in Delray Beach, Florida, with his wife Nicole and their son Chase. Outside of work, Cliff enjoys...
