What If?
by Sandy Camillo
A scream rips through the night. A woman begs for help. You find a wallet filled with cash. A robber pulls a gun on a cashier right before your eyes. In a single moment, everything you believe about yourself is put to the test.
What If? Real Choices in Unreal Moments drops you into morally charged scenarios, some imagined, some drawn from real life, where the right choice carries a personal cost. Many people in these examples stepped up, but others learned some terrible truths about themselves. What if it were you? Through each dilemma, you'll confront the uncomfortable distance between the person you think you are and the person you become when something is truly at stake. Gender expectations, authority, social pressure, and self-interest don't announce themselves. They quietly hijack decisions we'd swear are principled.
This book doesn't offer answers or reassurance. It offers something far more unsettling: a mirror.
You think you would do the right thing.
What If? finds out.
