Ratchet-Up
by Allan Breidenbach
Most change efforts fail for the same reason. Leaders pour their energy into the process and overlook the people who have to carry it out. New software gets installed and new workflows get drawn up, and within weeks the team drifts back to the old way of doing things.
Allan Breidenbach spent more than a decade building a better way. As president of a seventy-year-old, employee-owned manufacturer, he created the RATCHET-UP system, a nine-step method that puts people at the center of every change.
In RATCHET-UP, you will learn how to:
Earn the standing and trust that make real change possible Get a team genuinely aligned instead of just nodding along Recognize where technology helps and where it only adds friction Spot and address the people quietly undermining progress Measure profit in more than dollars Filled with real stories from the shop floor and free of consultant jargon, this book gives leaders in any industry a clear, practical way to make change that lasts.
