He holds a doctoral degree in Education and has dedicated his career to cultivating inclusive, research-informed environments where children and families thrive. His work bridges scholarship and practice, equipping educators with practical strategies that foster meaningful and sustainable family engagement. Dr. Burwell is the author of Daddy’s Classroom, a heartfelt children’s book celebrating engaged fatherhood and shared learning experiences. He is also the author of Engaging Fathers: Strategies for Inclusive Family Partnerships in Early Childhood, a professional resource designed to support educators in building intentional and equitable father-inclusive practices.
