Richard DiStefano

RICHARD DISTEFANO has been a cartoonist in spirit, if not vocation, since the first grade. A graduate of Smithtown High School West (Long Island, NY) and New York University, he now lives and draws (and eats and sleeps) in southeastern Pennsylvania. He has two grown children. He sometimes tells people that he was the second man to walk on Neptune, but that may not be strictly true. The illustrations were created with a stylus pen using Adobe Fresco on a Microsoft Windows tablet. This approach offers clear advantages over traditional methods-for instance, an inked line can be much more easily erased or redrawn. On the other hand, when working with paper, the illustration doesn't suddenly vanish, only to be replaced by an error message!
