Lynda G. Adamson

Lynda G. Adamson, PhD, is a scholar, writer, and music enthusiast whose work bridges literature, history, and spirituality. A former professor of English, she has taught American, world, and children’s literature and authored fifteen reference books in these fields.

Her passion for travel and culture has taken her across Europe, Asia, South America, Australia, and New Zealand, where she explores historical sites, music, and local traditions. Adamson is also an active volunteer with several Washington, DC arts institutions and performs as a soprano with the Choral Arts Society of Washington.

Her fascination with the twelfth-century mystic Hildegard of Bingen began when her choir performed one of Hildegard’s compositions during the composer’s 900th anniversary celebration. The experience inspired years of research into Hildegard’s life and world—ultimately leading to the creation of Feathers from the Flame, a historical and spiritual novel exploring memory, reincarnation, and healing.
