
Kathryn Ford
Biography
Kathryn Ford, M.D. is a psychiatrist, couples therapist and author of The Aperture Effect: A Radically Simple Approach to Finding Joy and Connection in Your Relationship. Her work is a unique integration of mindfulness, psychotherapy and neuroscience. After receiving her M.D. degree from Brown School of Medicine, Dr. Ford completed a residency in psychiatry at Stanford University School of Medicine. Her meditation practice and studies at centers like Barre Center for Buddhist Studies in Massachusetts and Spirit Rock Meditation Center in California developed her understanding of the power of mindfulness for building deeper, more resilient, relationships. Dr. Ford offers workshops and trainings and is available for public speaking. She is an instructor with Stanford Continuing Studies. She is a frequent contributor to Psychology Today, MindBodyGreen and other on-line publications.
