Brooklyn Freytag

Brooklyn Freytag and Sloan Sullivan are a granddaughter–grandmother writing team whose collaboration inspired their debut picture book, The Blueberries of Life. Brooklyn, who began the idea for the story at just seven years old, loves family, animals, sunshine, and adventure. Sloan Sullivan, her grandmother, shares Brooklyn’s love of storytelling and family traditions.

Despite living in different states, the two created this book together to celebrate the unique bond between grandparents and grandchildren. Their story captures the warmth, joy, and enduring connection that family members share—even across long distances.

The Blueberries of Life is their first book together and a heartfelt tribute to grandparents everywhere.
