Allisan Beck

I've always enjoyed reading and escaping through books, especially the classics. I can remember visualizing parts of books so vividly I had to think twice if it was a movie or a book I was remembering. I wanted my first book to be written with the same vivid descriptions. Writing and sharing the story of my experiences during Hurricane Katrina has been a goal of mine for years. I've enjoyed the process of writing in my own words, using my own ideas, and giving a voice to female characters that are often overlooked. It's been a wonderful creative journey that has brought me back to when I use to create for fun, wether it was through writing, cooking or dancing. I hope my readers enjoy the story as much as I do.
